After the fight, mino noogies quill. Nergil can tell the crowd is surprised and confused, and announces “thank heavens the Lis are here!”. Astrid casts cure wounds x2 on pasky & nergil & quill heals himself. The knights lead back to the manse; nergil namedrops Kenzie
Elaim meets the group and is wearing a vest; one of the knights asks a house guard to go take care of the bodies. Astrid glares at anyone thinking badly of pasky. Mino sees which ones. “you’ll serve pasky” “um, we don’t serve anyone?” “ WELL YOU WILL NOW”
Kenzie comes in. they’ve heard 2 different reports. what happened? Quill killed a marilith. Kenzie: I was confused Astrid left – astrid: we felt the wave and after scrying I flew over, you were already there. Kenzie to quill: The team also felt the wave. The team briefly discusses whether this portal is spontaneous or deliberate: it was spontaneous, but avoiding the support structure of the stones.
What is the marilith’s purpose? she saw her chance and took it. Pandemonium sucks. Nergil: “maybe you should check on othose stones more?” @ dreli; dreli sort of agrees. Pasky: “ we can do anything if we’re together” to Mino’s freakout.
Kenzie is explicitly worried. “how will the Dow (the trader) and (the drow) recover from this?” Kenzie meets with the guard’s families, do a little damage control for the market’s reputation, worried about how to handle future incursions. No stable fighter presence, just guards and a couple of knights. Quinn was just passing through, but is a ranger, and dreli is good with support but not other stuff.
The party discusses if they should stay around or teleport back to the town. Should they teleport back if they need and check in with sending? Should they check with Tahm Kench? Teleportation isn’t really feasible. Could they ask for money? Mino escapes to the library and finds an introductory book on gods. Why did the marilith make a comment about winnehild to mino? Bravado mostly. The group goes to bed and nergil transcribes illusory script.

Astrid: Kenzie probably won’t shortchange you, but you’re welcome to ask for a specific amount. The party can’t really agree haha. Quill and mino discuss using telekinesis to throw him, but mino eventually agrees that haste is probably just the better option… after several long minutes of being lectured and diagrammed at.

[[Nergil]] can tell the crowd of townsfolk that is gathering is surprised and confused, and proclaims “Thank heavens the [[Lighthaus Inspektorz]] are here!” in an effort to drum up name recognition. Unfortunately, no one in the crowd seems to know what he means. [[Astrid]] helps [[Pasky]] and Nergil to their feet with ''cure wounds'', and Quill casts it on himself. The knights firmly request the party come back to the comte's and recount the events, to which they acquiesce. They relax a little when Nergil namedrops [[Kenzie]] in conversation.

At breakfast there are horsehead apples, a variety grown around Redford; [[Raen]] is not unimpressed. Over breakfast, Nergil asks Quill what kind of reward he might request. Quill answers flatly "money", but has no idea what amount would be acceptable. Astrid assures that Kenzie won't shortchange them, but they're welcome to ask for a specific amount. He leaves Nergil with a warning - Tahm is a far older power than himself, and makes himself nervous.

They confirm they also felt the rip at the standing stones. Quill asks Kenzie if they saw anyone suspicious, and they affirm there are no reports of anyone opening the portal. They offer a reward specifically to Quill (but the group more broadly) for his brave and decisive action.
