NErgil writes a letter; he rolls a 19 cha check.

Mino casts speak w/animals; horses are old and slow ponies. “what do you think of moon-sik?” “no reason to complain.” Raen gives them a peppermint. It is spicy and cold.

They depart and talk about how to surveil. Surveillance plans include: • Nergil’s bat (requires 1 hr to summon) • Mino’s beast sense + Corrin’s conjure animals • Astrid’s owl

The group arrives at the first campground. They huddle up with astrid to ask about the wind chime. She’s mostly baffled. Corrin asks “how are you?” astrid is worried about leaving Kenzie, and also about her future in swansing. Corrin: has the convergence happened? Unclear, timing is weird – will you deal with consequences, or has it not happened? Does she need to intervene, or deal with the fallout?

Moonsik: where are you from? Mino: a celestial plane. Corrin: [undisclosed halfling land in the south, via jungle]. Moonsik and panit sing the ballad of Robert of redford for the group and corrin excitedly concludes that the gold and chime in the cave was the treasure in the song.

Quill casts alarm and goes to sleep; mino and raen stay up for a little longer.

Panit goes into labor after 2 hours of travel; mino takes over the driving so moonsik can bein the back with his wife. After another hour, the baby starts coming. Nergil boils some water; corrin asks how distant the contractions are but doesn’t know what to do with an answer. Mino offers his hand to squeeze during the contraction; corrin volunteers Raen to help but suddenly asks how he’ll help with only one usable arm. Raen asks permission, and continues to be very gay but also a knowledgeable farmer. “Can’t be that different from a sheep, right?” he mutters.

Pasky leaps onto the cart and Panit freaks a little, but Nergil manages to calm her down. Pasky leads her in a breathing exercise, but it is not helpful, although sh e is more baffled than panicking. The baby begins crowning. Nergil tries to get in there, but gets kicked, corrin tries to get in there and also fails, but Moonsik helps deliver the baby. Nergil prestidigitates the baby clean: “Nergil is from hell, and we let him clean the baby”. Raen suggests using the hell dagger to cut the umbilical, and the party objects loudly. Corrin suggests a dagger, but claims it’s been cleand with presti; raen objects to that. Raen uses the hell dagger and it’s a clean, cauterized cut.

The party lets the new parents alone for a little while before moonsik invites them back to see the baby. He offers raen the chance to name the baby, and raen sputters a little over the responsibility. The party discusses other names. Mino goes on about: (mino was taught the axe by salty jim the long beard as scarf dwarf, who called mino a “fucking idiot” he was called salty jim because he sweated a lot and had BO?). Raen suggests “Murray”, who was someone “very smart and serious, and didn’t like me much, but was a good guy”. Nergil suggests Abadon, but they decline. Panit accepts. Raen laughingly suggests Carter to Moonsik, who mentions he’ll discuss it with Panit when she’s a little more rested.

Takes a while to get to the inn because they’re going slowly, so it’s late at night. The innkeeper and her wife immediately set aside a room and take everyone in; after checking on panit and murray, the wife praises raen’s work.

The party heads out and travels another day. Quill has cast continual flame on corrin’s frog; Green flame around. They build a campfire and quill sets alarm.

Raen is blinded and wakes everyone up, paranoia; it attacks and etherealness; surprise over.

Attacks quill, corrin hunter marks and misses; quill shocking grasp; pasky hits and mino misses; astrid words of radiance; it disengages and hides. Raen throws the hell dagger and corrin fires a flaming arrow. Quill magic missiles as lightning, and mino pulls out the moon touched greatsword. It fades into the ethereal plane, but quill sees invisibility and calls that it’s moved next to nergil.

Raen restarts the fire, which sends it fleeing, mino sheathes the sword to get ready to attack it out of the darkness if it appears. It reappears far away and attempts to cause fear on nergil, who has seen worse from his father. Since it’s here again, raen throws the dagger and misses but corrin uses the unbreakable arrow to hit it. It eventually gets away after a few magic missile/guiding bolt/eldritch blast

Mino realizes it’s a magic weapon tonight. Is it destiny that it’s moon touched? The party returns to the campfire and heals raen. They keep the campfire alight as they sleep.
