Ascima is the goddess of the sun. She is associated with truth and inquiry, and guards against falsehoods. Her epithets include the Warden and Keeper of the Sun.
Ascima's parents are Aelfric and Sealticge, and her sister is Menphina. Through her mother, Draefendi and Nophica are her half-sisters, Alephan is her uncle, and Byregot and Bifelgan are her cousins. Her grandparents are Dohter and Dreisang.
Her uncle through her father, Tharzidun, and his son Orcus, despise Ascima and Menphina.
