Max Maher
Max Maher is a human from Halfcourt. He inherited Stange House from his cousin Bernice after she passed away almost two years ago.
History[edit]
In April of 1337, Max travelled from Halfcourt to Swansing in order to sell Stange House. He intended to stage the house and sell it quickly. However, after spending only one night, he became convinced that the house was haunted when he experienced missing or moved objects, strange noises and apparitions, and unexpected chills. Despite this, he continued to prepare the house for sale, bringing in cheap furniture to stage Stange House, but not straying far from the master bedroom and never letting a candle go out.
He first met the Lighthaus Inspektorz when he literally ran into them (out of fear) in the street. He begged Mino to help him, and promptly fainted. When the party attempted to revive him, Dessi made a point of scaring him further. They brought him instead to the Ruby Thorn, where he promised them the house if they could solve the issue - he just wanted it out of his hair so he could go home.
The Lighthaus Inspektorz informed him after an evening in the house that they had "expelled" the ghost that was haunting it, and he duly signed the deed over to them with a sigh of relief.
Trivia[edit]
Max's first name derives from Maxwell, the primary protagonist of Scribblenauts. Max's last name, Maher, comes from the Beatles' song "Maxwell's Silver Hammer"; the consonants "m" and "h" are swapped to get Maher.
